I have recently renovated my office in Denmark to create a warm, welcoming and private space. Feeling comfortable, safe and respected are key ingredients for good therapeutic outcomes. I value compassion as the highest human quality and a cornerstone of my practice.
Our first session is an opportunity to get to know you and understand your aspirations and goals for therapy. In the first session we also discuss confidentiality and consent, collect some family history, medical history and psychological treatment history.
I have training in a number of modalities for therapy, my process is to first assess and understand your needs and your theory of how change occurs for you. We can then apply therapy techniques that best suit you.
There are a number of practical things that can benefit your mental health and wellbeing. We spend time in our second session to customise some daily practices focused on improving your overall health and wellbeing.

This can vary. There are a range of reasons that bring people to therapy, some come to process trauma, share their stories, learn practical skills to manage their mood or mental health or deal with complex relationships. It may take different periods of time depending on the scale of the issues. We will regularly check in to make sure that we are meeting your goals and expectations for therapy and assessing your progress. We will also have frequent conversations about our work together and how it’s going for you. You are able to choose to finish sessions whenever it feels right for you.
If you have a Mental Health Care Plan you can access 10 rebated sessions per calendar year.

I’ve been working in Denmark for 12 years in mental health and hold confidentiality as the highest priority in conducting my work. All of my work focuses on building trust and safety - confidentiality is a large part of this. It is also a legal requirement under my professional practice standards.
All of our conversations are completely confidential. This includes communication with all third parties including individuals, families and other organisations. No communication can happen without your express consent. If you have a mental health care plan, communication with your GP would take place at the 6 and 10 sessions with your consent.

Yes, I provide both phone and secure online sessions using Zoom when in-person meetings aren't possible. These options can be just as effective as face-to-face sessions while offering extra flexibility and convenience.
-
Due to the location of my office, both entry points have stairs. If you need to, we can make an alternative location arrangement or work together online or on the phone.
If you have any other accessibility requirements, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
-
Weekday sessions begin at 8:30 am and finish at 5.30pm.
I have an evening clinic on Mondays and Thursdays with later appointments available.
My availability changes with demand, though I aim to offer you an appointment within 2 weeks of your referral. I will always prioritize ongoing clients for appointment times and encourage you to book 4 or 6 sessions ahead to guarantee a time and date that works best for you.
-
In-person sessions take place in my therapy office, just off the main street in the CBD of Denmark, Western Australia.

I am a qualified Mental Health and Clinical Social Worker and have specialist training in a number of areas of mental health treatment and therapy. I complete ongoing yearly training in psychological strategies to maintain my qualifications. Similar to a clinical psychologist, once I’d completed my degree, I’ve specialised in a number of areas of therapy. You can read more about this on my Services page.
Payments + Costs
I aim to keep payment processes simple and transparent. Medicare rebates are available with a Mental Health Care Plan, and I accept all major credit cards and bank transfers. Here's what you need to know about fees, rebates, and cancellations:
-
A 60-minute session is $180 and a 90-minute session is $270. This is payable on the day of your session.
You’re currently eligible for a total of 10 sessions via a Mental Health Care Plan and need to return to your GP to get a review of your plan after the 6th session. The Medicare rebate for a session is $85.20.
I will provide you with a receipt via email that you can use to seek a rebate from Medicare. You can use the MyGov or Medicare app ‘Express Plus’ to submit claims. Rebates are usually paid within 1-7 days following submission.
It is your responsibility to monitor how many sessions you have remaining on your MHCP and to make sure you review your mental health care plan with your GP to access further sessions that are eligible for the rebate.
Without a current MHCP with sessions remaining the full fee is due.
-
Cancellations need to be made by phone or text message.
I am flexible with times and happy to accommodate your changing schedule with a week or more notice.
Late cancellations (48 hours prior to the session) will be billed at $60 unless you test positive to COVID19 (verified with a photo of your RAT). Non-attendance (with no contact) is billed at the full rate of time allocated.
I have some capacity to reschedule a session once within 7 days and will not charge you if I can fill your session time with someone on my cancellation list.
I will also suggest we have a phone or video session where appropriate to avoid you paying for a session that you don’t use.
Medicare rebates are only available for attended sessions.
-
I don’t accept insurance, however, you're welcome to take my receipts to your insurance provider to seek reimbursement. Please check with your provider about your specific coverage for mental health services.
I am an EAP provider for PeopleSense, covering employees of the Department of Education and the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions.

I provide sessions for NDIS participants. This requires you to have psychological services or social work services as part of your NDIS plan. You or your provider will need to send your NDIS number and an Item Code.
